Let's start the second week of November with a new gadget for the home just announced by Xiaomi on its Youpin platform. The product is called Mijia Supercharged Steam Iron and can be purchased in China at the crowdfunding price of only 449 yuan (57 €) starting from 11 November, while its retail price will be 499 yuan (63 €).
Xiaomi Mijia Supercharged Steam Iron presented: The ultra-performing and intelligent vertical iron
The Mijia Supercharged Steam Iron is a high performance vertical style iron that manages to produce a pressure of up to 500kPa to generate a constant steam flow, thus avoiding pressure jumps and increasing the penetration force to reach the fibers in depth. The steam expelled from the iron has a flow rate of 42 g / min, to quickly soften the fiber and eliminate even the deepest creases.
In general, the product reaches a maximum power of 2200 W, thanks to which it is possible to nebulize the water very quickly and reach an average temperature of 135 degrees centigrade. The brand claims that the Mijia Supercharged Steam Iron is able to iron clothes like professional products.
In terms of ergonomics, the product is equipped with an integrated adjustable ironing board, with an angle from 0 to 90 degrees. So, for example, we can iron t-shirts and other wrinkled garments at zero degrees, putting more pressure, trousers at 45 degrees to simplify our life and at 90 degrees for new garments that do not need real ironing.
In any case, the Mijia vaporizer is equipped with a 2-liter water tank, which can be used for more than 40 minutes; this is equivalent to approximately 18 t-shirts or 15 pants.
The water inlet is also equipped with a water temperature detection sensor and an intelligent dynamic water inlet system, which allows to obtain a stable and high steam temperature regardless of the outside temperature.
Finally, the Mijia Supercharged Steam Iron is also smart in that it is able to stop the flow of steam automatically when it is not used for several seconds. While after a break of more than 30 minutes, the whole machine will turn off automatically.
