Starting from the Xiaomi Mi 10 series, Xiaomi has launched every year a "super" flagship with the name of "Ultra", to date these include the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra and the Mi 11 Ultra. Each generation of Ultra represents the highest level of smartphone technology available on the market.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra could actually be called Xiaomi MIX 5 Pro (3D render and video)
As we know, by 2022, Xiaomi will launch another super flagship, which following in the footsteps of previous devices we have always called "Xiaomi 12 Ultra", but apparently there is a possibility that this is not the case.
The well-known site LetsGoDigital, has in fact released renderings of what could be Xiaomi's next premium smartphone, but it is not called 12 Ultra, but Xiaomi MIX 5 Pro. It is a high-end Xiaomi device designed with a large circular camera module dimensions and which has the code name “l1”.
As we can see from the renderings (and according to the previous leaks) the future flagship seems to be equipped with an imaging system created jointly by Xiaomi and Leica.
As you know, Leica is a global imaging giant and has experienced in-depth cooperation with Huawei in recent years. In fact, also thanks to Leica, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer quickly went to the top in terms of the performance of the photographic sector.
We also point out that the rendering of the Xiaomi MIX 5 Pro shows us that there is still the camera solution under the screen of the previous generation MIX 4, with the front creating a true "full screen" design without holes or notches. Recall that the Xiaomi MIX 4 launched last year was the first mass-produced smartphone with under-screen camera technology for commercial use.
