Xiaomi prepares a new curved monitor, but without Samsung

E 'news a few days ago that Xiaomi Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34 " it went out of production due to a lack of supply from Samsung. As we know, the Korean company is a world leader in the design and construction of this kind of device, as well as for the screens of smartphones. According to what was revealed (not from Gizmochina) Lei Jun's company would not have given up and would be developing a new curved monitor (possibly for gaming) the size of 30 ″. Let's go see the details.

This should be Xiaomi's next curved warning: a gaming 30 ″ built no longer by Samsung but by AU Optronics

Last month, Video Hall exclusively reported that the Xiaomi 34 ″ monitor with all the features to be a professional gaming screen it will no longer be marketed. The reason, as anticipated, is a lack of supply by the Korean Samsung. But now it seems that the Chinese giant has got his hands on it and has thought about rely on another company, this time Taiwanese, known as AUO. This was born years ago from the merger of Unipac Optoelectronics Corporation e Acer Display Technology Inc.

This company would be supplying Xiaomi for the first time, iterating the technical specifications of the "old" 34 "monitor. In fact, according to what has been revealed, the new 30 ″ curved warning will have the same characteristics as the previous one. We list them below for convenience:

  • 21: 9 ultra-wide panel
  • 2 mm frame
  • 3440 × 1440 resolution
  • 121% sRGB and 85% NTSC color gamut
  • brightness of 300 nits
  • 3000 contrast ratio: 1
  • 144Hz refresh rate
  • AMD Free-Sync anti tearing technology
  • Low Blue Light Solution

Clearly this information directly concerns the Chinese market. But there is something that sounds strange. Initially, the Chinese giant turned to AUO who (passed the deadline) answered spades. Then we turned to Samsung, which in turn has given way to Xiaomi. Now go back to AUO again. What's underneath? Cost problem only or is there more?
