Xiaomi now has 3 browsers pre-installed, but don't panic

One thing that pisses me off is incomplete news, especially when it comes to Xiaomi. Between yesterday and today an interesting news came out: Xiaomi has integrated the Opera browser in some of its devices. Said this way, however, it seems that everyone, even us Italian users, will have work on the smartphone. No, it is not so, but this is not said. So let's go and eviscerate the whole matter and clarify.

Xiaomi has three browsers installed on some smartphones. Opera is added to Chrome and Mi Browser but do we want to clarify please?

Kacper Skrzypek, a code investigator for Miuipolska, noted on Twitter that some MIUI versions now ship with Opera Browser pre-installed as an app. On social media, Xiaomi device owners have echoed this statement and “announced” the inclusion of the web browser. Now, there is some order to the ideas. First: who has this browser? According to the code BE THE GLOBAL ROM MI (ours) THAT GLOBAL ROM IN (the Indian) have the browser in question.

So the Indian MIUI version and maybe some global ROM versions are believed to be affected by this change. Skrzypek says the Opera app is absent from international ROMs for regions like Europe, Russia, and Taiwan. However, it is crucial to understand one thing: APP CAN BE UNINSTALLED IN GLOBAL ROMS interested, but not in the Indian version. Consequently, even if the next Xiaomi smartphones should have a third browser, we Italian users can uninstall it if we use a non-Indian MIUI Global. No bloatware issues, therefore, since it can be eliminated from memory and does not burden the system.

Having made these necessary clarifications, questions arise: why is Xiaomi inserting Opera Browser in MIUI? The vast majority of users use Chrome. Many even use the more comfortable and less heavy Mi Browser. So what for? Simple, in our opinion: give a valid alternative. Despite this, however, we are a bit disappointed that Xiaomi is increasing the pre-installed apps instead of reducing them. The company is always quick to point out that users can remove a lot of bloatware but we all know that the best option is to avoid them altogether.
