The "offensive" of Xiaomi in the sector continues gadget for the winter with yet another product that many would like to possess on cold days on arrival. One of the brands within the Xiaomi ecosystem, PMA, has just launched a crowdfunding campaign for a thermal and intelligent mattress cover, the PMA Smart Electric Blanket; let's find out together!
Xiaomi PMA Smart Electric Blanket, the low voltage smart underblanket
The PMA Smart Electric Blanket has the strength of the integrated electrical circuit that allows the mattress cover to operate at a voltage of only 24V. In comparison, the common electric mattress covers work at 220V voltage, thus consuming more energy and are potentially more dangerous for humans in case of damage.
We then have a smart mode called Sleep Mode that allows you to dynamically change the temperature during sleep so as to fall asleep and wake up in the best way. In particular, we have an increase in the initial temperature, excellent for falling asleep, the temperature then decreases in the central part and then increases again poco before the previously configured alarm.
The electric mattress cover uses a graphene heating system that manages to raise the temperature in only 3 seconds. This technology is also very efficient, making us save even on the bill.
As we said earlier, the PMA Smart Electric Blanket is also smart. We can therefore control it remotely directly from the application of Mi Home, both from inside and outside the home. While with the remote control with non-removable cable we can instead change the temperature between 28-34, 34-43 and 34-52 degrees Celsius or select the duration of use between 1, 3 and 9 hours.
The thermal mattress cover can be machine washed without problems once the controller is removed with the "brain" and the remote control connected. A natural air drying is then recommended, therefore without the use of a dryer. Regarding the dimensions instead, two sizes are available 150 x 80cm and 170 x 150cm.
Finally, perhaps the most particular feature is that which allows us to heat the two halves of the mattress cover independently at different temperatures, so for example we can have a less warm side for one partner and a warmer one for the other.
The PMA Smart Electric Blanket is now in crowdfunding in China at the 399 Yuan figure, around 50 euros at current exchange rates. There is also a version with electric resistance instead of graphene at the price of 199 Yuan, or on the 25 euro. As always we remember that these are prices for the Chinese market that will see price increases once they are sold by third-party stores.
