Indian hi-tech portal Digit.in has recently conducted an interview with Hugo Barra, vice president of international marketing for Xiaomi, to inquire about the future plans of the Chinese company in India. The interview leaves us a little hint of what Lei Jun & co. they plan to do in the near future.
One of the questions posed by the blogger to Vice President of Xiaomi Global was the ability to see updated Xiaomi devices (Mi3, Mi4, MiPad, Redmi, Redmi Notes etc.) with the new Android OS L ... And bar responds as follows:
At the moment we do not have a specific calendar for Android L. We do not even have the basic codes, no one has them. But it is obvious, our intent is to bring it as soon as possible to our devices.
Xiaomi will therefore also bring the new platform on its devices, we will just have to be comfortable and wait for that to happen. From another source, however, we learn the news that the Xiaomi Mi3 kernel codes will soon be released so that the dances to myriad ROM and porting for the Mi3 will open ...!
