Tech giant Google has announced it will hold a conference on May 10 where it will also showcase its first foldable, the Pixel Fold, as well as the new generation of the Pixel 8 series.

Google has also officially unveiled the foldable screen phone by showing us its design for the first time.
As we can see in the video, the Pixel Fold inherits the style and design of the Pixel series. The photo part on the back adopts a long ledge with a total of three built-in lenses. While the frame seems to have rounded edges for a grip that should be more comfortable.
We also find out that Google's foldable will weigh 10 ounces (283 grams) and will have “the strongest hinge on a foldout”.
According to official data, the Pixel Fold's three camera parameters include one main camera from 64 megapixel (Sony IMX787 sensor), a telephoto lens from 10,8 megapixel (Samsung S5K3J1 sensor) and a 12 megapixel wide-angle camera (Sony IMX386 sensor).
At the same time, the external screen should be a OLED panel with a diagonal of 5,8 inches, while the internal screen will be a 7,6 inch OLED panel. Both screens support a 120Hz refresh rate.
Additionally, Pixel's new Fold will feature its own in-house chip, the G2 tensioner, and a dedicated security chip, the Titan M2. The CPU will then be accompanied by 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 type storage space.
Prices and availability
As for prices, according to American media, the Pixel Fold will have a priced at over $1700, therefore in line with Samsung's latest foldable, the Z Fold 4.
Google plans to start pre-order activity for the Pixel Fold foldable screen phone after its official release on May 10, with shipments slated for late June.
