Cordless floor cleaners are increasingly widespread in our homes because they are a great help for cleaning but we are often forced to give up important features to save money: the Jimmy HW9, younger sister of HW10, it is a good compromise between price, functions and quality.

Technical features
In addition to the vacuum cleaner, the package includes the charging base (35×34 cm), a power supply, a silicone cleaning brush and a suitable detergent for even more effective cleaning.
Jimmy HW9 is available in a black and gray colorway, made entirely with excellent quality plastics. It is equipped with two tanks: the 0,4 liter tank for clean water is placed directly on the brush; the dirty water one, also 0,4 litres, is housed on the rod and is equipped with a filter that retains solid waste.
La motorized brush, which is one of the fundamental elements of floor cleaners, is well made and is moved by two large 2,5 cm rubber wheels. As we said, it includes the tank and the soft roller which measures 23 cm and is easy to extract for cleaning or replacement. It is not able to work "flush with the wall" as there is a space of 1,5 cm on the right and 2 cm on the left on the sides. JIMMY HW9 water tank includes antibacterial material inside, capable of generating silver ions during washing, sterilizing effectively and ensuring safer cleaning.
Obviously there is no shortage of LCD display, very basic, which still shows all the necessary data: the remaining autonomy, the selected mode and various alarms including the dirt tank being full or when the clean water runs out.
Two rare features are appreciated even on more expensive floor cleaners:
La 3000mAh battery is removable, it will therefore be possible to easily replace it when this occurs poco performing. You can also purchase a second one to double the autonomy which is normally 30 minutes.
Plus the floor cleaner it is capable of tilting 180° to slide easily under furniture or into cracks no lower than 7,5 cm. This is a feature that I really appreciate in those few products that have adopted it (Xiaomi and Osotek) because it allows you to make full use of the floor cleaner precisely in those contexts where it is difficult to wash and rinse.
How it works
Jimmy HW9 it starts easily from the button on the comfortable handle: just tilt it and the engine starts. The water is not dispensed directly onto the roller but is "sprayed" on command with another button via a nozzle located on the front brush.
In practice it is as if we had a cordless vacuum cleaner with which we will be able to wet and wash only the areas that interest us. A great advantage which, however, must be used with care because if you are close to the walls you risk getting them wet.
We have two modes available floor e carpet, in addition to one starting suction mode. In carpet mode the power is raised to maximum and it is recommended to close the door on the roller to maximize suction.
After cleaning, you can start a self-cleaning cycle via the button on the handle. In this case, water is dispensed and aspirated for two cycles while the roller rotates on a rough surface to improve washing. However, one is missing drying mode of the roller present in others top of the range scrubbers of the competition. I rather appreciated the possibility of remove the top to be able to wash it directly under the tap.
As highlighted in the introduction, a good feature of the Jimmy HW9 is the ability totilt to a full 180° and get where others can't. The tanks remain sealed and it is possible to lie down and push the floor cleaner under a bed, low tables and sofas. Certainly other products can tilt but not so much and this makes it a unique product that you could buy even just for this feature.
How he cleans and washes floors
Speaking of performance, the Jimmy HW9 is appreciated in all situations. It is able to remove daily dirt with a single pass, but even for "dry" dirt you just need to continue to dispense water.
It is able to suck up large quantities of liquids and resolve in a few seconds those "disasters" that normally force us to arm ourselves with a mop and bucket.
The battery life is not amazing but the floor mode lasts 30 minutes and is in line with the competition. It suffers a bit in carpet mode where it lasts around 20 minutes. The automatic mode is missing, which is able to manage the power without impacting too much on the autonomy.
In general it is very easy and convenient to use. The joint and the wide angle possible make it agile between the corners and the legs of the furniture, the roller pulls the scrubber dryer and makes it very light.

Jimmy HW9 Price and final opinions
The Jimmy HW9 is an unusual floor cleaner. The “spray on command” makes it more like a hybrid between a vacuum cleaner and a floor cleaner.
Light and agile, it is perfect for cleaning occasional dirt "on the fly". although no one forbids you from using it in prolonged sessions. You should probably buy it if you like the idea of being able to control the water supply only when needed rather than washing the whole house. The removable battery and the 180° joint are also excellent.
The price of only €299 on the official store is also good with two year warranty but is also available on Amazon I'll launch them at the same price.
