Meizu, the well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has announced its latest model, the Meizu 21 PRO, in a special dedicated event. It is a smartphone that aims to be the point of arrival and turning point for the company, which has decided to abandon the traditional smartphone market to focus on artificial intelligence.

The Meizu 21 PRO is in fact a product that embodies the best of Meizu's technology and design, with top-level performance and innovative AI-based features. The smartphone is proposed as a transitional product, which anticipates Meizu's All in AI strategy, aimed at creating intelligent and connected devices in different fields.
The design of the Meizu 21 PRO is simple and elegant, with square lines and right angles. The body is made of glass or eco-leather, depending on the color choice between Starry Night Black, Meizu White, Glacier Blue and Laurel Green. The latter is an absolute novelty for Meizu, which offers a different and refined tactile sensation.
The screen is a 6,79 inch LTPO AMOLED panel, with 2K+ resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio and maximum brightness of 1250 nits. The screen supports a adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, a 2160Hz brightness adjustment mode, and an SGS certification for eye protection from blue light. Below the screen is a ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which also acts as a heart rate monitor.
The heart of the Meizu 21 PRO is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, the first 4nm chip for smartphones, offering exceptional computing power. The processor is supported by 12 or 16 GB of RAM and 256, 512GB or 1TB of internal memory, both of the UFS 4.0 type. The operating system is Flyme OS 10.5, based on Android 14, which integrates several AI-based features, such as intelligent construction, assisted input, AI applet, AI gallery and Aicy voice.
The rear camera of the Meizu 21 PRO is made up of three sensors: the main one is a 50 megapixel OV50H, with f/1.9 aperture and optical and electronic stabilization. The other two are a 13 megapixel ultra-wide angle, with an angle of 122 degrees, and a telephoto lens from 10 megapixel, with 3x optical zoom and optical and electronic stabilization. The camera is capable of taking photos with artistic effects, such as Vincent pictures, eliminating unwanted elements from images, such as magic elimination, and enlarging details, such as picture expansion. Furthermore, it can record videos in 8K. There front camera is 32 megapixel instead, with f/2.4 aperture and housed in a central hole on the screen.
The Meizu 21 PRO has a battery from 5050 mAh, which supports charging fast wired at 80 W, 50W wireless fast charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. The smartphone is also equipped with a hybrid cooling system, which combines liquid and vapor chamber, to maintain optimal temperatures. Among other features, we find the infrared remote control, NFC, stereo speakers, linear motor for vibration and IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.
The Meizu 21 PRO is available in China starting from 4999 yuan, approximately EUR 641, for the 12GB + 256GB version, up to 5899 yuan, approximately 766 euros, for the 16GB + 1TB version. The smartphone will go on sale from March 2, but it is not known whether it will also arrive in other markets.
The Meizu 21 PRO is therefore the latest traditional smartphone from Meizu, which wants to greet its fans with a spectacular top of the range, which anticipates the future of the company, increasingly oriented towards artificial intelligence.
