OnePlus has expanded its range of true wireless headphones with the launch of the OnePlus Buds 3, the new audio peripherals that accompany the new smartphone OnePlus Ace 3.
OnePlus Buds 3 official: TWS headphones with ANC up to 49dB and 3D spatial audio
The OnePlus Buds 3 have a similar appearance to the OnePlus Buds 2 Pro, but differ in terms of glossier finish of the earphones and for the charging case with horizontal opening. The earphones are from in-ear type, with rubber tips to ensure good sound insulation. Inside, OnePlus has used the same dual-driver solution seen in the Pro headphones, which should offer rich, balanced audio output.
The OnePlus Buds 3 support active noise cancellation (ANC) up to 49 dB, with several modes to choose from. In addition to the intelligent mode, which automatically recognizes the environment and adapts the ANC levels, there are intermediate modes at 10 dB and 20 dB, and the maximum mode at 49 dB, to almost completely eliminate external noise. The headphones are also equipped with three microphones for each earpiece, which thanks to artificial intelligence reduce noise during calls.
The OnePlus Buds 3 also offer other interesting features, such as the LHDC 5.0 codec support, which guarantees high sound quality, the 94ms low latency mode, ideal for games and videos, and the3D spatial sound, which creates an immersive surround effect. The headphones are also compatible with Google Fast Pair and have an IP55 certification, which makes them resistant to dust and water.
The battery life of the Buds 3 is one of the strong points of these headphones. The earphones have a battery from 58 mAh, which ensures approx 10 hours of music playback without ANC, and 6,5 hours with ANC on. The charging case has a 520mAh battery, which allows you to extend the battery life up to 44 hours without ANC, and 28 hours with ANC. Charging takes place via a USB-C port, and with just 10 minutes of charging you get 7 hours of listening.
The OnePlus Buds 3 are available in two colors, black and blue, and have a price of 499 yuan, equivalent to about 65 euro. The headphones are already up for pre-order on the Oppo store in China, and will be on sale from January 8th. For the European market, the OnePlus Buds 3 will arrive on January 23, together with the new OnePlus 12 and 12R smartphones, at an estimated price of 99 euros.
