OPPO, the well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has officially presented its new A series model: it is theOPPO A18, an entry-level smartphone that offers some interesting features for its price range. The OPPO A18 made its debut in the UAE, but it is assumed that it will arrive in other markets soon as well.

The OPPO A18 comes with a simple but elegant design, available in two colors: Glowing Black and Glowing Blue. The body is made of plastic, but has a glossy finish that resembles glass. On the back we find a dual camera and a fingerprint sensor, while on the front the display from 6,56 inches with HD+ resolution and refresh rate at 90Hz. It is an IPS LCD panel with a waterdrop notch that houses the front camera from 5MP.
Under the bodywork, the A18 features the MediaTek Helio G85 processor, an octa-core chip with a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. It is an SoC designed for low-medium range smartphones, which offers sufficient performance for daily tasks and for some not too demanding games. There RAM memory is 4GB, while internal storage space is 128GB, expandable via the microSD slot.
The OPPO A18 is equipped with a battery from 5.000 mAh, which guarantees excellent autonomy even with intense use of the smartphone. Charging takes place via the USB-C connector, but fast charging is not supported. The operating system is ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13, which offers a customized interface and some OPPO-exclusive features.
As for the photographic sector, the OPPO A18 has a dual rear camera consisting of a 8MP main sensor and one 2MP depth sensor. As mentioned previously, up front we find a 5MP front camera which allows you to take decent selfies and video calls, but without too many demands.
The price of the OPPO A18 has not yet been officially announced, but it is estimated to be around around the euro 200. It is therefore a device suitable for those looking for an economical and functional smartphone, but not too demanding.
