Yesterday, the Xiaomi sub-brand, Redmi, finally presented the much talked-about Notes redmi 8 Pro. The smartphone brings with it a breath of fresh air with regards to the Redmi Note series, particularly in the internal components with a processor produced by MediaTek that after years manages to replace the most popular Qualcomm SoCs.
Together with the different hardware we obviously also have an innovative and improved design to manage the greater power of the new CPU, as well as the four new rear cameras. So, if you are curious to see how the Note 8 Pro is internally, read on!
Redmi Note 8 Pro laid bare, here's the official teardown
The first component that we are going to see in this teardown is the motherboard. In the photo above we can distinguish the various chips, so we have the one surrounded by a yellow square that is in fact the processor, the excellent MediaTek Helio G90T that promises flagship performance (of the 2018). Immediately above we find the LPDDR4x RAM with an 2133mAh clock that can vary from 6GB to 8GB, and apparently in the same position there is also the internal memory from 64GB or 128GB of type UFS 2.1. While in the surrounding area we have the NXP TFA9874 chip which serves to amplify the audio, the MediaTek MT6360 chip for frequency management, the Qualcomm SMB1351 chip that carries the 3.0 Quick Charge fast charge and finally the MediaTek Wi-Fi chip which is precisely necessary for wireless connectivity.
In the hidden part of the motherboard we find instead all the other chips like the one for the 4G connectivity and the NFC module of which you can read a deepening in This Page.
Let's now pass to one of the most interesting news on the Note 8 Pro: the four rear cameras. Redmi's mid-range killer comes with the first 64MP sensor dedicated to smartphones, the Samsung ISOCELL GW1 with a size of 1 / 1,7 inches and large 1,6 micron pixels. Clearly the Samsung sensor is the largest of all and is the one positioned in the center, between the depth sensor from 2MP and that from 8MP with ultra wide-angle lens from 120 degrees. While on the sidelines we find the camera from 2MP to take macro photos at the minimum distance of 2cm and the one for selfies from ben 20MP, sensor Samsung SK3T1.
Above the cameras, this plastic and graphite layer is then placed to both cool the smartphone dedicated to gaming and to amplify the NFC module signal.
Finally, in the image above we can see both the huge 4500mAh battery and the antennas for WiFi, GPS, 2G / 3G / 4G and the large 3mm heat pipe for CPU cooling.
I'm not interested in hard reviews 😁 I want to see some data and reviews 😉
What you see in the shape of ... .. are the vibrators
Haha, we like “this kind” of reviews 😜
