As every Friday we expect a new update, which for the MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM has arrived at version 8.1.11. The new function, which I would immediately define as simple and trivial as nothing striking, concerns the function of speed dial integrated into the numeric keypad. Yes, until now this function that has coexisted (but perhaps forgotten) on Android smartphones for years, has never been implemented in MIUI ROMs. With the new feature, gMIUI users will be able to quickly call a number in the phonebook simply by holding down a key on the numeric keypad (except for the 1 number associated with the voicemail).
After pressing and holding a key on the keypad, the Quick Dial option will appear and select the contact to start the call.
To enable and make changes to the Speed Dial function, go to the internal menu of the telephone dialer application: Advanced Settings> Speed Dial> Delete or Add new numbers for quick dialing.
Finally, the MIUI 9 Global Beta 8.1.11 ROM it will also bring some important ones with it bug fixes for example, in the horizontal mode where weather information did not align to the notification and status bar, or to the fact that in some situations, a fixed black screen was displayed, which showed after a few seconds to the lock screen.
