Xiaomi's next digital service will be a multi-device cross-screen

When we talk about Xiaomi we are not just talking about mobile devices. Since the beginning of its journey, the brand has focused a lot on digital services and especially in recent years on those IoT. During the tenth birthday of the company, Lei Jun said that now, more than before, the goal will be to increase integration between devices with increasingly efficient services. Obviously this is a long-term project, which will take minimal 10 years of time, but the first step will be done a September through a new cross-screen service between different devices.

In September Xiaomi will launch a service on Mi 10 Ultra and the Redmi G notebook: it is a cross-screen services that allows you to "project" one device on the other

The service in question will be called Mi Miaoxiang (can be translated into something like "Share me" or "Mi Easy Collaboration)) and at least for the first time it will be released in the test phase only on Xiaomi mi 10 ultra e Redmi G, the new super cheap gaming notebook. It is the possibility of making smartphone and laptop interact in a simple way. No password required e no complications of sorts: a bit like if you were to connect your cellphone via bluetooth to headphones.

Xiaomi's next digital service will be a multi-device cross-screen

The interactions between devices that can be used are basically two:

  • Cross-screen collaboration: allows the gaming device, the laptop in this case, to mirror on the smartphone and therefore "project" with the minimum of latency everything that is transmitted on the monitor. Clearly the interaction on one device will correspond to the same type of action on the other;
  • Xiaomi Call: allows you to use the front camera of the gaming PC to make a video call but using the internet network of the smartphone.

The development version, the very first therefore, was launched together with Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra and is currently being tested. It will be for all of September until, from the beginning October, will not be released stable version in China. To ensure proper functioning there will be a PC application to download called "Smart Internet". The usefulness of this Xiaomi cross-screen service is clear: it will be possible see a photo album on your smartphone in real time and simultaneously transmit it to the computer; we will be able to browse PPT slides or edit videos on your smartphone but directly from your PC.

Ultimately it is a native mirroring service whose goal is to expand to the entire ecosystem.
