Xiaomi CEO and co-founder, Lei Jun, has just announced on Weibo (the Chinese Twitter) that on 11 August he will give a speech for Xiaomi's tenth anniversary, exactly 10 years after his first public speech.
Lei Jun confirms conference for August 11, Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra coming soon?
Lei Jun said that "In the past ten years, we have grown a lot, not a few difficulties, but we have never stopped" and also joked that "A boiling decade has started from a bowl of hot porridge".
But at the Xiaomi conference chaired by Lei Jun we will not only talk about the history of Xiaomi, but we could see the launch of several new devices.
According to the Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station in fact, the CEO of Xiaomi will present the new Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, also known as Mi 10 Super large Cup.
The smartphone will be an even more premium version of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro released earlier this year. In particular, the strong point will be the new 100-watt super-fast charging technology. Or at least that's what we have seen through the 3C certification of its charger with a power that has reached 120W.
We will also see an update of the screen that on the Mi 10 Ultra will be curved like the Mi 10 Pro but with a refresh rate of 120Hz, therefore a step forward compared to the 90Hz of the predecessor. The Mi 10 Ultra will therefore be the first Xiaomi smartphone with an OLED screen and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Finally, as for the other specifications, the next smartphone will equip a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 as a processor. While always Digital Chat Station had that Xiaomi and Qualcomm have jointly developed a GPU control panel function that can adjust the parameters to make the most of the GPU's potential. This feature will allow the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra to improve performance so much that it even surpasses the new Snapdragon 865 Plus.
