Xiaomi still among the best innovative companies in the world | BCG

Xiaomi it is continuing to travel like a train and even a second one BCG is located in the top 50 of the best innovative companies in the world. The period that was taken as a reference for the study is the worst in recent years. We have seen the pandemic, we have seen the chip crisis, but all in all, the Lei Jun brand has been able to get by very well. Although its position is not the highest in the ranking, we find it close to other giants. This chart list, however, is not exclusively dedicated to hi-tech companies but to largest in the world.

Xiaomi is among the best innovative companies in the world: BCG says it with its own neggs ranking published yesterday. At 31st place near IKEA

According to the latest report of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) the pandemic has shown, in the vast majority of cases, the ability of companies to innovate to "stay afloat". Clearly, pharmaceutical companies are at the top of the global ranking but according to what emerged from the research, companies working in the field technological (especially software) continue to dominate. Xiaomi it is among the companies that have innovated the most, finishing in 31st place. But what are the concrete technologies that have allowed Xiaomi to enter (actually already existed) in this ranking? Let's remember them together.

Xiaomi

The latest product that allowed the brand to climb is the C1 appears, which is the first proprietary processor ISP (Image Signal Processor) which serves to support the photographic sector of smartphones. This particular processor was first integrated on Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold, which is the leaflet of the Chinese company. But the Surge C1 is in good company.

The second product that made the giant climb the rankings is the liquid lens. This was also introduced for the first time on Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold and serves to improve the shots of our smartphones. How? In this article we have explained it in detail, but below is a brief summary. The liquid lens is the next step more close to the quality of the human eye. The transparent fluid of the film on the optics, driven by a very high precision motor, accurately and finely modifies the spherical shape of the lens itself in order to obtain a fast and very fluid focus.

A big boost to the cause was also given by the announcement of the entry into the market of electric cars. According to the data in our possession Xiaomi will present by 2023 its first vehicle powered by clean energy. A goal in which very few telephony companies are attempting. Such a vehicle should be one berlina and its cost will be around around the 26.000 € (price converted from Chinese yuan)

Last (but not least) device is the My TV LUX, Or the first transparent TV. the technology used to allow the vision of this device is truly something unique. We explain it in detail in this article. It should be remembered that this particular TV was offered at a lower price than those of the competition that provide similar (but not the same) technologies.

In this regard, we want to underline the Xiaomi motto: "Technology for everyone". In the study it is not mentioned at all but we believe it is very important to remember how essential accessibility to technology is to make a brand first in the world. There is still a long way to go to get (and stay) at the top, but the road taken by Chinese society is really good.

In your opinion, what other steps should Xiaomi take to rise even more in the ranking? Recall that we are talking about innovation and not improvement of products and services already on the market.
