Xiaomi Empty Valley Automatic Umbrella WD1 presented in China

As anyone who has just met the Xiaomi brand knows, the Chinese giant over to produce some of the best best buy in the smartphone category, it also has an incredible portfolio of products for sale on its Youpin website, both smart and not.

The one presented today is part of the latter type, in fact we are talking about an umbrella that has been “automatic” but that in reality does not have much of a smart one.

The Xiaomi Empty Valley Automatic Umbrella WD1, as it is called, arrives with the typical design of a traditional umbrella, it is then folded three times in the upper part to reduce its size. The material of the canvas is water-proof (obviously), will last over time and also protects from ultraviolet rays from the sun.

The Empty Valley Automatic Umbrella WD1 was created to facilitate one-handed use. This is thanks to the button on the handle that automatically opens the entire umbrella. To close it instead, just click the button to unlock it and then push the top as in a common umbrella.

The size of this umbrella is of radius 58,5cm and has a height of 62cm, so it is large enough for two adults. While when closed, the dimensions are reduced to 5.8cm in thickness and 32cm in length. As for weight, the umbrella weighs only 412 grams, thanks to the high density materials used.

The Umbrella WD1 uses fiberglass instead of the typical aluminum to reduce its weight. Furthermore, the structure consists of 8 axes to withstand even the strongest winds.

The Xiaomi Empty Valley Automatic Umbrella WD1 is now on sale on the Xiaomi Youpin website at the price of 49 Yuan, or just € 6,50. Unfortunately, as usual, we will have to wait for the Chinese retailers to decide to market it in the rest of the world, but poco bad!
