Yesterday, our favorite Chinese brand presented a total of three devices: the Notes redmi 7 Pro, redmi 7 and Black Shark 2. The latter is obviously the most powerful of the triptych as it is equipped with the most powerful processor on the market, namely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 along with other features that make it one of the best gaming phones on the market.
Among the most interesting specifications that perhaps went a little unnoticed, we have the presence of DC dimming technology. Well, it would seem that this feature is also going to be implemented on the flagship phone launched the previous month, namely the Xiaomi Mi 9.
Xiaomi Mi 9: The update that adds the DC dimming is coming
The news was reported by the director of the Xiaomi software department on the Chinese social media Weibo. In the post he indeed made it known that the developers are working to optimize different features on the Mi 9, such as the DC dimming.
For those who are not aware of the meaning of the term DC dimming, we quickly explain that this is a technology that helps reduce stress on the eyes when using the device at low light. This is achieved by directly adjusting the amount of electric current passing through the display, so less current means less brightness.
In fact the flicker on the screen is reduced to low brightness, but as a negative note there is however a possible change in colors that many might not like.
Finally, we note that this technology is not something brand new in the smartphone world. The original Black Shark and the Black Shark Helo also had this feature available. Even the Xiaomi Mi 8 had been pointed out as a possible device that would have received this upgrade, but until now everything is silent.
In any case, good news for the happy owners of Xiaomi Mi 9, a device that already starts with an incredible hardware sector and an excellent quality / price ratio. This new update will surely make it even more interesting and competitive on the market.
