The second user claims he has 720p resolution display issues. Video streaming is pixelated and distorted, so watching videos at this resolution is not a pleasure. Despite this the user has changed devices but without success.

This user has encountered problems turning off the TV via HDMI CEC. It also states that the device it suddenly stops showing multimedia content and that happens to him with Netflix, Youtube. Live Channels doesn't even send any multimedia content. The only way to fix is a reboot.
Another report brings us this problem: the command “Ok Google” doesn't work after setting it as the primary voice input.
In this other report three problems are proposed: inability to connect mouse and keyboard; OpenVPN cannot connect e disconnection from the internet when the Box is turned on.

Unfortunately, after reporting a massive amount of problems, they are not over. With the latest update arrived on the device in question, new bugs have emerged that affect in particular audio and video playback. According to what emerged, the build 3175 has brought more harm than good to the Mi Box 3. We note in particular:
- after putting the device in stand-by, when it is switched on again, neither video nor audio transmission is started
How to solve? Some users claim that a restarting the devices puts a temporary patch on the problem. Others, on the other hand, affirm that to solve the problem definitively "just go back to Android 8.0 Oreo". Clearly this is not the final solution as Oreo is a system that is falling in terms of support in devices dedicated to smart TVs. We just have to wait for a official update that brings fixes. It is a pity that these devices are like that poco following.
In my case, I was unable to see Prime Video anymore.
If I start one of the few videos in sd everything is regular, while with all the others the screen goes black, I hear the audio, I read the subtitles and even the info of the actors but no video.

i had 2 prime videos on my mi box after the update. so the video content provider app was not working. i called up the amazon prime video customer service, they suggested removing the previous app and i did. however it worked out fine just once. suddenly a few minutes later my mi load screen wont go off thge screen. it fails to load. i had factory reset everything and yet it refuses to statrt up!

I can confirm that Xiaomi has seemingly pulled out this update (the “peel remote” update), at least on my unit. I used to get a notification all the time, and I just dismissed it all the time. 2 days ago the notifications stopped, and I checked my version and I am still on 2926. I manually checked for an update and I got the message that my system was up to date.
me too, just noticed it today, I thought that someone in my family updated it since the notification was gone. But I did not remember that PI.2926 was my last stable version which I liked very much, since the version before that (I also didnt remember) has tons of problems (the worst one is it keeps crashing on youtube). Thanks to your post, now I know that I still have the 2926 version which for me was the best yet, no problems whatsoever.
Mi box s problem with you tube using nordvpn. Sometimes will not allow loading of YouTube when showing as being in USA. Cleared cache no result. Restart same. No result. Why Mi bow has not fixed glitch???

Yo tengo dos Mi box 3 y en ambos se desconecta el remote control desde que actualice.
Bonjour, dans mon cas, quand j'allume la mibox3, je n'ai pas de son. Le volume est à 1 à chaque fois. Je dois donc toujours augmenter le volume avec la télécommande. Au prochain allumage, le volume est de nouveau à 1. C'est barbant à la fin.

Yeah. Same with me too. My Mi BoX often restarts on its own for every 3-5 Mins and Video plays with distorted audio and Video. Too much irritating.

uninstalling ES File Explorer… very strange but it worked fine for me. Hope help.
A déinstallé ES File Explorer, redémarré la MIbox3, et effectively, Prime Video remarche. A voir si ca tiendra.
