Xiaomi Mi Max: Xiaomi benchmark and CPU?

Some time ago it was rumored that Xiaomi was working on the creation of its own processor (codenamed Rifle) to further contain the costs of its devices and to promote its brand also in this sector. This rumor, forgotten over time, today returns to the fore in a new leak that would show a benchmark of the Xiaomi Mi Max. However, the surprising score shown in this image raises some doubts about the actual presence of this processor, as previously the company itself had stated that this processor would only be implemented in the series devices "Redmi"Low-end. In support of this, Secretary General of Mobile China Alliance, Lao Yao, confirmed that this rumor turns out to be unfounded and that the Xiaomi custom processor will not be implemented in the Mi Max.

In conjunction with all this, in addition, another Xiaomi Mi Max benchmark appears but this time on the site GFXbench, a benchmark that was currently removed from the site itself.

As far as you can see, this device would feature a Qualcomm hexa-core processor (Snapdragon 650) with a maximum clock rate of 1,8 GHz and an Adreno 510 GPU, along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of memory. internal. Although a 6,4 ″-inch display with full-HD resolution is reported, this data sheet seems a bit contrasting with the score seen at the beginning of the article, therefore, in addition to the great confusion that is being created around this device, currently there are two possible hypotheses:

  1. The Xiaomi Mi Max will have the new top chip of Qualcomm that would justify the high score obtained;
  2. The Xiaomi Mi Max will have the same chip as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (Snapdragon 650), justifying the second benchmark.

It should not be ruled out that both hypotheses are false and that there is another answer to this enigma, but in this case only Xiaomi can give us a certain answer. However, the presence of benchmarks only indicates one thing, namely that the Xiaomi Mi Max will be presented very soon.
