Xiaomi announces the trade-in plan for its Mi and Redmi smartphones

India is for Xiaomi the land of resources. And riches. It is here that the Chinese technology giant has decided to plant its roots more than in other countries. Thanks to the smartphone market of low and mid range, the brand has reached the top in just a few years. But how build more customer loyalty? There is a very effective way that other companies have already experimented with over the years and it is the exchange of devices. Colossi of the likes of Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), e Samsung they already do and now is the time for Chinese society too.

Mi Smart Upgrade is Xiaomi's Indian program for exchanging old devices: up to 70% of the value of the device is recovered upon purchase

From today they can to exchange old smartphones Xiaomi, belonging to the Mi and Redmi series, with newer models and recover until 70% of their original value. This is the novelty just announced in India by the brand, which takes the name of Mi Smart Upgrade. However, there are very stringent limits: to buy a new smartphone and give back an old one, the brand has set some standard which vary not only according to cconditions of the old smartphone but also al chosen redemption period.

In the video above the Chief Operating Officer India illustrates in detail the requirements to be met. An example: if you want change a device (take Redmi Note 9) with the next of the range in Pro version, at any time in the time frame between 91 and 180 days from purchase, an insured repurchase value of the 70% of the official price. This means that if we bought the Note 9 between 91 and 180 days from the date of the start of practice, then we will be able to take advantage of the promotion. Previously other brands like Samsung (Samsung Galaxy Assured) used the same method to avoid waste and to recover useful material for the next devices.

As mentioned, this service is only active in India. It would be useful have it from us too?
