Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus: first AnTuTu test

Yesterday was a very interesting day following the presentation by Xiaomi about the two new range average, the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus, characterized mainly by a display appearance in 18: 9. The curiosity, even if the hardware is not to be shouted to the miracle, it is so much and then someone has already put under pressure the two new smartphones making a AnTuTu Benchmark test which reveals a score of 55472 points corresponding to the Redmi 5 and the Redmi 5 Plus scores 61122 points. What leaps to the eye and that the Redmi 5, Despite the CPU Snapdragon 450 which usually scores a score of about 42000 points in the AnTuTu test, manages to make the most of Qualcomm's chipset performance allowing therefore a general fluidity with games and applications.

The 450 Snapdragon is in effect the most powerful 400 series processor, adopting a structure Cortex A53 with process a 14nm and clock frequency of 1,8 GHz. It is capable of supporting the playback and recording of videos to 60 fps, but it is also able to support hardware such as USB 3.0 with Quick Charge 3.0 support and X9 LTE modem. The merit of the score goes however also to the Adreno GPU 506, which is able to support DirectX 12 and Vulkan, the same that supports the processor Snapdragon 625 equipped on Redmi 5 Plus and seen in many Xiaomi models and not only, standing out for performance and energy consumption really well optimized. Well what to say, the two new devices will not be top of the range but offer all the quality and experience of Xiaomi, a favorable price, reliability 100% and ... well I challenge you to find a smartphone 18: 9 with all these qualities without having to empty your pockets.

Let's not say fessereie ... the 450 is none other than the 625 with 200mhz less as a CPU and 50 Mhz less as a GPU, or in any test it does 9-10% less than the 625, as demonstrated today.
What makes 42.000 points on Antutu is the Snapdragon 430 / 435 (over 20% less as a CPU frequency and the 25% less as a GPU frequency, which is also the 505, less performing than the 506 of the Snap 450 / 625 / 626)

But what would be the incongruity? I do not understand…

All smartphones based on snap 450 give 55.000 points on Antutu, while the article says that they usually give 42.000 points, and that the 55.000 points are the result of a careful optimization of Xiaomi.
The writer confused the performances of the 430/435 with those of the 450.
