Despite a waiting period which can extend up to seven days, it is reported that the conventional bootloader unlocking method remains effective.

New requirements for unlocking the bootloader
Xiaomi previously released an announcement. To officially bootloader you will need:
- Community level: Users must reach level 5 within the Chinese Xiaomi community to proceed with unlocking the bootloader.
- Verification of identity: Real-name identity verification is required, introducing a significant obstacle to privacy.
- Active participation: users are invited to participate actively by answering questions posed within the community.
- Validity of the request: each unblocking request is valid for only one year, after which it will be necessary to submit a new one.
- Device limit: It will be possible to unlock up to a maximum of three devices per year.
- Mandatory waiting: After the unlock request, you must wait a period of 72 hours before the process can be completed.
- Bootloader blocked for updates: To receive HyperOS updates, the bootloader must be kept locked.
