Dreame H12 Dual, floor cleaner and vacuum cleaner in one product – REVIEW
I tried the new one Dreame H12 Dual, a product created to satisfy those entering this new world of "smart cleaning" but it is undecided whether to buy a floor cleaner or a vacuum cleaner. The H12 satisfies both with a modular system that shares the same engine to have two products in one at an attractive price.

Design Dreame H12 Dual
The Dreame H12 Dual is made up but many components that allow it to take on three different shapes for three different functions. In fact, in the package, we will find many parts and accessories:

The design of the floor washer follows that of Dream H12 Pro – modern and compact – to which only an additional handle has been added on the motor section to be held in vacuum cleaner mode. It is available in black only.
We therefore find the broad again LED display which shows all the states of the floor cleaner and any errors. Same tanks: 900ml for clean water, 700ml for dirty water. Handle Convenient with three buttons for controlling the H12.
Also the basis it is the same 30×31 cm one which also houses the accessories. It takes care of charging in 4/5 hours, self-cleaning and drying the Russian with hot air at 50°
La main brush it is of excellent quality, with a 26 cm roller that leaves only 6 mm on the edges. The roller can be replaced easily and without having to touch the roller, thanks to the release button located in the upper part. However, the front LED light which is convenient and present on some competitors is missing.
La Dreame H12 Dual converts into a cordless vacuum cleaner thanks to the components available.
Simply unhook the motor and attach it to the dust tank and main rod you will have a cordless vacuum cleaner at your disposal. It is not as practical as having it "already ready" but it is an operation that can be carried out in a few seconds thanks to the special base (28 cm x 28 cm) where the additional parts are housed but which does not recharge the battery. Obviously, when calculating the occupied space, you will have to take into account that it is like having two products with two separate bases.
The dimensions of the dust tank they are not declared, but it would hold at least 500 ml and also includes a three-stage filter (HEPA + pre-filter + cyclonic). Unfortunately, emptying is not at all practical as in products dedicated to suction only, because you are forced to completely extract the filter pack to empty the dust.
La main brush It is of excellent quality: it is motorized and has a soft anti-tangle roller, suitable for all surfaces. It is essentially the brush that we find in all the latest Dreame models.
The additional accessories are a real plus that allow us to use the H12 even in different contexts such as the car, sofas, corners and in places that are difficult to reach with the long rod.
How does it clean Dreame H12 Dual?
In scrubbing mode the H12 is a true top of the range. Has a one of the most powerful engines on the market, a large, quality roller that can remove any stain on the floor, usually with a single pass. It performs homogeneous cleaning and manages to "almost" reach the edges of the walls.
It's very easy to use. Just turn it on and it is ready to wash the floor. Thanks to dirt sensor, the H12 Dual handles automatically suction power, roller speed and water delivery to the advantage of autonomy. It is also present suction mode which suspends the delivery of water and is very useful for vacuuming large quantities of liquids or for drying the floor. however, it is missing “ultra” mode present in the PRO version.
Fantastic the autonomy of about 35 minutes, among the highest on the market, thanks to the large 4000 mAh battery and also the tanks, which are also among the largest on the market.
In vacuum cleaner mode the H12 doesn't shine as brightly as the floor cleaner but it holds up well. The real limit is the motor which, as in all floor cleaners, is less powerful compared to vacuum cleaners. In fact, we have it available 16.000 Pa suction pressure against, for example, the 27.000 Pa of the Dreame R20 that I have tried.
Nonetheless the H12 dual also shows its usefulness as a vacuum cleaner, especially on hard surfaces, thanks also to the excellent roller supplied. Easily vacuums up daily dirt, even medium-sized ones.
It has difficulty on rugs, carpets and joints between tiles where "pure" power is essential. The same goes for use with accessories which are useful as long as you don't need a lot of power.
We only have two available standard mode for daily use e turbo for the situations more serious. The automatic mode is therefore missing and this is also a shame.
THEautonomy, however, is considerable as it reaches 60 minutes in standard mode.
Automatic cleaning and drying of the roller
Once back on the charging base, the Dreame H12 Dual scan the level of dirt on the brush roll and will eventually ask you to execute automatic cleaning. It's a fully automatic process and takes about 3 minutes divided into three phases:
- High speed roller washing with clutch on the base
- Suction of dirt and washing of pipes with powerful suction
- Drying with hot air at 50°
The result is truly remarkable: the roller is washed thoroughly and all the dirt accumulated during cleaning is transferred to the tank. A great convenience!
Even more important is the function of drying with hot air which almost no floor cleaner, even a high-end one, has adopted. It is a very important feature that allows the roller to dry completely in 30 minutes avoiding the proliferation of bacteria and consequent bad odors.
Dreame H12 Dual – Final opinions and Price
The H12 Dual is a particular model that tries to meet those who it needs both a floor cleaner and a vacuum cleaner but he is not willing to spend much.
While on the one hand the floor cleaning function, as well as the self-cleaning function, is completely satisfactory, the vacuum cleaner mode shows limitations which must be taken into account. It should only be chosen if you have smooth floors, few or no carpets and certainly no animals in the house. Otherwise you risk remaining dissatisfied.
The price largely justifies these limits because the Dreame H12 Dual è on sale for €499 on Amazon, an attractive price even if it only had the floor cleaning function. By purchasing two separate products, except for offers, you need €700/800.
