Assembly and Package Contents
The bike it arrived in a week from Geekbuying warehouse in Europe, perfectly packed with protective polystyrene and partially assembled. We just have to fix the handlebar, the front wheel and the pedals. You can do it all in 30 minutes even alone and you only have to pay attention to remove the front brake stopper only at the last moment.
There is also the accelerator kit which transforms the bike into full-electric and is optional even if very comfortable, which is why I installed it. Know that this type of mode is not legal in Italy, so use it at your own risk of a fine.
As always, I advise you to check the tightness of all the screws because even if it is checked by the factory in China, during the journey with vibrations, it is not uncommon to find how many screws are loose.
This is the contents of the package:
- Complete electric bike
- Charger (100-240V 2,2A input, 42V 2A output)
- User Manual
- Accelerator kit
- Assembly tool kit
- Rear/wheel reflectors
Design

The Eleglide M2 has the "ordinary" design of a classic mountain bike, completely black, with some elements in gray and black. Stands out on the frame 15Ah 36V battery which can also be extracted, after having unlocked it with the key supplied, to recharge it comfortably at home or for safety reasons.

The dimensions are rather small (180x68x106) as well as the weight which is only 22Kg, which guarantees excellent driveability. The saddle is adjustable suitable for heights between 160-195 cm.
Excellent welds and robustness in general which allow it to be tolerated loads up to 120kg, therefore higher than the classic 100kg of many competitors and which confirms the general quality of the product.

Sul handlebars, next to on-board computer with 1,7″ display, we find on the left the three control buttons, easily reachable with the left thumb. Two to change the assistance mode and one to turn the bike on/off, turn on the front LED, change the data shown on the display. The on-board computer, as well as the entire bicycle, is IPX4 certified.
On the handlebar we find, in addition to a small bell, also two o'clock gear levers 24 Shimano gears, entry-level but precise and reliable.
Performance and autonomy
The Eleglide M2 features a engine from 250W (with a maximum peak of 570W) supported by a 540Wh battery that reaches the remarkable thrust of 55Nm, therefore more powerful than that of the previous model and sufficient to climb slopes quite easily on slopes of up to 20° in assisted mode. I was pleasantly surprised by the push, considered the small engine that falls within the limits of the law, but which provides prompt and effective help.
We have 5 levels of assistance available which interrupt assistance when reaching speed: Level 1 at 12km/h; level 2 at 16km/h; level 3 at 20km/h; level 4 at 23km/h; level 5 at 25km/h (or 32km/h if you unlock it with the instructions in the manual).

The thrust is also managed well and offers progression but as in all e-bikes like this one with a speed sensor, we have a small initial void which can be problematic when starting uphill but which is easily compensated for with the manual accelerator if you decide to mount it.
Overall theWhole electric assist system works very well and it provided me with the help I needed to lighten the fatigue of pedaling and climbing over 20 ° it is still necessary.
La 15Ah battery recharge in 10 hours and “should” guarantee a range of 120km with a 75kg driver at 15km/h. In my tests, with a good 50% of off-road and climbs, which were not at all thrifty so with maximum assistance and often demanding climbs, I managed to go at least 100km on a single charge.

Comfort and safety
The Eleglide M2 is a mountain bike obviously suitable for off-road with Kenda Aptor tires 27.5″ × 2,40″, therefore of a good brand but above all wider of the classic 2,1″ found on this range of products. I had fun on gravel and gravel roads, always feeling safe.

La fork is hydraulically cushioned with a travel of 10 cm (the previous model was 8 cm), the possibility of locking it in case you prefer a more rigid set-up. The ride is comfortable on uneven terrain as well as potholes.

Il braking system it's kind of disc hydraulic, another novelty of this model, both on the front and on the rear, with 16 cm discs. They generate a decisive and modular braking, much better than mechanical brakes, moreover the electric motor interrupts the assistance immediately. Even when going downhill or at high speed, the bike stops within a reasonable distance.

Speaking of security it is right to mention the the integrated LED light on the front, powerful and orientable. But also the reflectors placed both on the spokes of the wheels and on the rear saddle allow you to be clearly visible when the sun sets.
Eleglide application

Another novelty of this version is the possibility to manage the bicycle via theapplication of the Eleglide available on playstore.
The application is easy to connect, just turn on the bicycle and the application will find it and add it to any other Eleglide vehicles you have.
Through the app we can control some aspects of the M2 such as: changing the level of assistance, turning the light on and off, checking the battery level and the kilometers travelled.
It is also possible to set a bicycle lock which acts as antitheft because once activated it will be necessary to enter the pin to be able to turn on the vehicle. The pin can also be entered directly on the on-board computer without accessing the application. Even with this lock, the bicycle can be driven or transported, so I advise you to attach a chain to anchor it.
Eleglide M2 – Conclusions and Price
The Eleglide M2 is an electric mountain bike suitable for the city but above all for the countryside and mountains thanks to the improvements made compared to the previous model. In this price range it is one of the few to adopt hydraulic brakes, 10 cm suspension forks and an engine with 55 Nm torque while remaining legal.
The value for money is incredible considering the technical equipment available which is wide and of good quality. AND' available on GeekBuying for €819,99 using the discount code NNNCPE22 and includes fast shipping from the warehouse in Europe which has no customs fees
